“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

Our Sunday School ministry provides a strong spiritual foundation for the children of our parish. Through teaching the Orthodox faith and Traditions, fostering community, and encouraging service in the Church and beyond, we help children grow in a Christ-centered environment and offer opportunities for them to contribute, lead, and participate in parish events.

We are blessed with dedicated and qualified teachers who, under the guidance of our Vicar, Principal, Vice-Principal, and Sunday School Secretary, work faithfully to bring children closer to Christ. Many of our teachers have completed the Teacher’s Training Certification (TTC) program, while newly graduated students and other parishioners volunteer in teaching and support roles.

The Sunday School academic year runs from September to June, with classes held every Saturday after Holy Qurbana from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Sessions begin with a General Assembly for songs, Bible stories, memory verses, prayers, games, and other activities, followed by age/grade-level classes using the Diocesan curriculum for students from Pre-K (age 4) through Grade 12. Children also participate in various Parish and Diocesan events where they get a chance to learn and express their faith through various talents. During the summer months, the children participate in the Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS), primarily organized and led by the MGOCSM and OCYM organizations.

The grace of the Triune God, the guidance of our Holy Fathers, the dedication of the Vicar and teachers, the enthusiasm of our children, and the support of parents and volunteers all work together to make this a blessing for our Parish and the next generation.
