St. Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Society, Calgary
St. Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Society is a registered non-profit society in the Province of Alberta, Canada. The Society is the legal entity through which St. Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Church, Calgary operates — managing the affairs of the parish, holding property, and serving the spiritual and community needs of its members.
About the Society
The Society was formed to provide a formal organizational structure for the Malankara Orthodox faithful in Calgary. It is governed by a democratically elected committee and operates in accordance with its constitution and the canons of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.

Membership
All baptised members of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church who are residents in the Calgary area are eligible to become members of St. Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Society. Membership entitles you to participate in the Annual General Meeting (AGM), vote in committee elections, and take part in the governance of the parish.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Society holds an Annual General Meeting each year where members review the parish accounts, elect committee members, and discuss matters relating to the parish. All registered members are encouraged to attend and participate. AGM dates are announced through the parish communication channels.
